Came around 11:25 and the line was out the door. Don't let that turn you away lines mean it's worth the wait. The restaurant is on the smaller side but has an inviting atmosphere. The smell of fresh coffee and bagels sounds like a great way to spend your Saturday morning. The line moved fast as the staff pushed out orders as they came.
A regular recommended the Rosemary garlic smear on an everything bagel is the way to go they were not wrong. We also have a Smoked Nova Salmon and delicious. My childhood favorite cinnamon raisin with strawberry smear. The bagels chewy and are Loaded with smears! We also snagged an apple pie smear for our bagels at home. Next time we will have to try different combinations and come a little earlier.
This is a lovely little spot on 39th street about 3 minutes away from KU Med. The bagel are very good, and the coffee is from The Roasterie. I love the Lox and Bagel. The location is quite charming and the service is quick and efficient.
Delicious bagels, done well in a cute spot. Snag the Lox + all the extras!
My friend introduced me to Meshuggah Bagels when I treated her to a birthday breakfast earlier this month. What an absolutely DELIGHTFUL experience!
The place is small--almost a converted home--and perfectly charming in its decor and simplicity. The staff is so friendly and helpful! Since it was my first visit, the young man behind the counter guided me through the menu, and I arrived at exactly what I wanted: an garlic bagel sandwich with smoked nova salmon, capers, and onions. YUMM!! I was instantly transported to my friends' home in Queens, New York, and stepping around the corner to their neighborhood bagel shop. My bagel sandwich was truly a slice of heaven, and the genuine article! I only wish my NYC friends could have tasted it. :-)
I am sad that I've lived nearly 20 years in Kansas City and had no idea that Meshuggah Bagels existed! But those days are gone, and I will be a frequent customer from now on. Because, outside of New York City, I have never tasted a better bagel!! Thank you!!
P.S.--My friend really enjoyed her bagel as well. And their coffee is really delicious, too!
Cute and cozy shop! We were greeted when we walked in and helped pretty quickly. The bagels and shmears were both amazing! They had a couple of parking spots in front and in the back.
The bagels here are very tasty. This location is kosher. The entrance is a bit steep for a wheelchair but could be done. The parking lot is small with right turn around. The atmosphere is cosy and warm. Service was fast and friendly. The garlic bagel and salt bagel had lots of each - in fact a bit much! But very good. The onion bagel and rye bagels were great as well.
A great place to start your day. Bagels were delicious and the atmosphere was even better. Highly recommend you try this place as I have a high standard for bagels growing up on the North Shore of Chicago.
Bagels were alright. Based off the other reviews, I thought I was going to get a bagel that was as good as the ones in NYC; this doesn't come close at all. The plain bagel I had was super hard (could be because we came here at 12pm) while the other was much softer and more enjoyable. The other downside to this place is that they don't offer free water. You have to buy a single use bottle for $1.50
